GE is looking to drive strong growth in the ASEAN region across core markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam & Philippines and through market entry into the smaller, developing countries in the region. The Senior Manager- Business Development will be a highly motivated professional who will work closely with business & GGO leaders to identify & execute inorganic growth initiatives, focused on GE's industrial businesses.
Essential Responsibilities
. Working with GE's ASEAN & Asia and our global businesses, the candidate will identify strategic partnership opportunities that support market access and fill capability gaps
. Support the the generation and execution of a range of business development activities, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and investments in the ough deep insight into GE's business segments
. Support relationship building with partner companies; private & public sector & government bodies thereby establishing strong long-term win-win business partnership to drive continuous benefits to GE
. Active networking with relevant corporates, investment banks, M&A advisors and consultants to build deal deal flow
. Collaborates with the key support functions (Finance, Legal, HR) dedicated to business development
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications:
. Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a technical field)
. A minimum of 5-7 years of M&A relevant experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and/or equity investments
. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills; resourceful and creative, and enjoy the challenge of pursuing deals
. Able to interact cross functionally at all levels internally and externally, and able to develop relationships with target companies
. Strong presentation skills and comfortable making presentations to internal and external senior executives.
. Ability to travel extensively within the region
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
. MBA/CFA
. Exposure to and understanding of industrial business suite e.g., Energy, Oil & Gas, Healthcare
. ASEAN knowledge & connectivity with banks, PE firms, advisory firms and decision makers in potential partner companies
. Previous business development/M&A experience with a Multinational bank/reputed local bank/ relevant experience in consulting firms

He/she will collaborate with GE businesses & partner companies to build partnerships that will expand GE's capabilities in the ASEAN region
