We have an opening for an individual who will be a leader for our team. We are looking for a special individual who wants to build on our successful foundation. The Vice President, Ticket Sales will be an integral part of our senior management team and will report to the General Manager.
The Vice President will lead the sales department in the delivery of a top quality fan experience at every point of contact. High personal standards, a collaborative approach to your work, a commitment to excellence in customer service and a "can do" attitude will be expected at all times.
In addition, given the ownership structure of the club, this individual will interact often with senior executives from both our Baseball Team and Fenway Sports Management, most notably the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Business Development of our Baseball Team.
Responsibilities
Be the catalyst in developing the annual sales plan for tickets, including the related timeline. The ticket sales plan will include sales of new tickets, ticket renewals, group sales and hospitality sales. The ticket sales plan will address available season ticket packages and amenities, including when each element should be put on the market. Be the catalyst in developing a sales plan for other events both during the season and in the off season. Hire, develop, manage and retain ticket operations staff of approximately 4-6, both full-time and part-time employees in order to maintain an optimal selling and a top quality customer service environment for our box office operation Hire, train and mentor account executives including providing sales training and consistently evaluating their outbound sales efforts and calling success rates. Prospect and develop relationships with larger sales opportunities both for ticket plan sales and hospitality/group sales. Institutionalize top quality customer service standards and a continual focus on customer relationship development. Implement new and renewal ticket sales initiatives relating to season, partial and group ticket sales. Generate daily and monthly sales reports to monitor all aspects of ticket and related revenue opportunities. Improve upon utilization of ticketing software consistent with the needs of the organization, including the support of the organization's Customer Relationship Management needs and objectives.
Qualifications
This high-profile position requires a goal oriented, critical thinker with excellent judgment and strong leadership and mentoring skills. Five plus (5+) years ticket sales expertise; management experience. Prior experience in Minor League Baseball a plus but not required. Positive "get it done" attitude; strong motivator who can inspire, manage and teach. Integrity; continuous learner; good team member. Successful track record of achieving departmental goals and creating a culture of accountability and first class customer service
