Account Executive- Southeast
TERRITORY: State, Public, and K-12 Libraries in key counties in FL, GA, NC, SC
OBJECTIVE: To achieve assigned sales goals for electronic products to the assigned markets, within an assigned territory. Primary responsibilities include: new account development (may necessitate large group presentations, requiring the coordination of various groups of people, product knowledge, public speaking skills, and the use of various pieces of equipment for giving demonstrations), service and growth of existing customers: Various reports to include sales forecasting, sales reports, gap analyses and strategic plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Manage territory to achieve all sales goals. * Perform sales presentations to large and small groups. * Create proposals to develop and close sales. * Represent ProQuest at trade shows and tech fairs. * Maintain account records in and in accord with ProQuest sales department policy using Miller Hieman sales techniques. * Submit monthly sales forecasts to ProQuest management. * Prepare sales call reports, monthly travel schedules, bi-weekly progress reports for large accounts. * Provide market feedback, competitive information, product development input, etc., to ProQuest management. * Minimum of 12-16 in-person sales calls per week when on the road; 15 phone calls per day when in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 3 + years direct field sales experience in the library market; or extensive experience selling ProQuest or comparable products by inside sales or direct field sales. * Proven success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline. * Successful sales negotiation skills at every level within client organizations. * Experience selling electronic software products. * Basic computer fundamentals; Ability to assemble workstation and work effective remotely. * Computer software usage and proficiency in usage of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, sales/customer databases. * Must have excellent: Interpersonal relations, verbal and written communications, analyzing and organizing. * Must be able to travel up to 50%
