The Account Manager will support the Account in the execution and development of activation and communication strategies for the client's global platform. This position will be responsible for a variety of assignments within the client's Global Sponsorships Group, primarily for the global experiences travel program. The program incorporates unique sport/entertainment elements coupled with travel destinations all over the world. The ideal candidate has experience developing experiences geared towards an affluent consumer, is highly organized, a savvy traveler, and speaks more than one language. The AM will be exposed to high profile partners such as Major League Baseball, The PGA Tour, The Recording Academy, UEFA Champions League, and The Open Championship and will be expected to collaborate with account team members responsible for managing those specific initiatives. The SAE will lead the creation of pre-event planning documents, execution budgets and presentation materials and will play a key role in the onsite implementation of consumer programs. This position requires US and international travel and is best suited for a candidate interested in working with a diverse group of people from different countries and cultural backgrounds. Additional responsibilities include competitive research, expense reconciliation and internal sales as well as overall support for the account team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Work closely with the team to determine best approach to each project
Work with clients to implement marketing initiatives
Assist in the creation and development of presentation materials
Communicate with client and partners on coordination of overall project
Coordinate projects with outside vendors and internal resources like merchandise and creative
Coordinate invoices/billing for sales
Report financial outcomes by event and send monthly accruals
Provide formal documentation for projects (i.e. memos, agency POV, conference reports, budgets, and presentations)
Monitor and research competitive activity for existing clients and produce report of findings
May supervise staff and/or interns in the implementation programs and events
Create post-project wrap-ups and case studies
Manage timelines for all assigned projects
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Five to seven years relevant promotions/event management and/or agency experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work for more than one manager at a time on multiple projects
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems
Excellent computer skills, master of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Payment services industry experience/knowledge a plus
Willingness to travel, including weekends/holidays
Language skills preferred (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese)
