AT&T - Business Account Manager - Hartford, CT
As a Business Account Manager, you will work with the Small Business Sales team to implement solutions-based sales strategies that uncover new business opportunities and manage account growth within the AT&T Sales Group. This outside sales position sells only wireless products and /or services to small businesses within a defined geographical territory by uncovering new business opportunities and managing account growth.
• Cold calling, prospecting, scheduling appointments and developing relationships at customer locations.
• Prepare and present professional corporate business proposals and executive presentations.
• Manage a territory which includes a specific zip-code based module that is assigned by the Sales Manager.
• Consistently meet and/or exceed voice/data/accessory quotas.
• Maintains a broad knowledge of wireless solutions, rate plans, complex products and services and selling skills.
• Responsible for acquisition and retention to grow small business contracted corporate employee's or individuals. Facilitate maintenance (reducing churn) of existing small business base to drive sales.
• Serve as a liaison to the local business community by representing ATT with local business associations.
• Work closely with the retail stores and customer service to facilitate good customer relations and increase sales.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to sell complex data solutions to existing customers and prospects across Module and Account List.
• This job key applies to employees who spend more than 50% of their time in duties directly related to making their own sales away from the employee's office at a customer's place of business or home.
Duties directly related to making sales include:
• Meeting with customer's engaged in sales activities at the customers site, communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc., related to proposed solution/sale etc., traveling to and from the customers premise, preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution/sale, researching and developing customer solutions with ATT external partners, including design and engineering, and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications Business:
• Degree (Marketing major preferred) and/or equivalent sales experience 2 to 5 years successful sales experience preferably in the wireless, data and/or telecommunications industry with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting quota and solution selling/account management
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Cold Calling and Prospecting experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Decision making and problem solving capabilities
• Strong negotiation skills, confidently and aggressively seek new business
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance and reliable vehicle per transportation needs of market.
