The Associate Director - Product Marketing Management defines the strategic roadmap of best-in-class portfolio of laptop mobility devices and services designed to drive sales, competitive differentiation, and thought leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for overall laptop mobility device business including Revenue, Gross Add, ARPU, and Churn components
Oversee development of marketing strategy, pricing, positioning, competitive analysis, sales readiness, marketing programs, and life-cycle management of LaptopConnect devices while managing team of Product Marketing managers
Responsible for AT&T's LaptopConnect business across sales channels including Sales, Churn, ARPU, and Revenue
Define and manage device product roadmap that enables AT&T to achieve competitive differentiation and though leadership in both consumer and enterprise markets
Develop and lead large cross functional teams in the successful launch and execution of high profile device launches
Oversee development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives in areas of the business that are performing below business metrics / expectations
Successfully manage a team of Product Marketing managers that drive results against annual and monthly business plan
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Five years experience in product management or marketing
Previous supervisory experience
Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills
Strong written, verbal and oral presentation skills
Strong strategic thinking skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard office computer applications
Ability to motivate and lead direct reports
Ability to clear a criminal background check and drug test
The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax
Job-Specific Qualifications:
Product Management Experience: Demonstrated track record of developing and managing cradle-to-grave product roadmaps that deliver significant business results while solving for customers needs across multiple customer segments.
Marketing Experience: Proven ability to develop and manage successful Marketing programs across different sales channels in fast evolving and highly competitive wireless market.
Business Knowledge: Wireless experience including detailed understanding of technology, competitive landscape, and products and services.
Financial Management Aptitude: Familiarity with P&L models and proven ability to successfully manage strategic revenue, profit, and cost drivers.
Problem Solving Skills: Demonstrated complex problem solving skills. Ability to keep focus while working multiple issues simultaneously; ability to define creative solutions that profitably address difficult business and product challenges.
Team Management: Manage all activities of team including ensuring team members understand the strategic objectives of their assigned initiatives including business goals. Manage performance of team members including work quality and deliverable inspection. Provide continual and effective coaching, leadership and direction regarding performance.
Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in developing and leading cross-functional teams to drive device and marketing initiatives. Ability to balance other organizations' perspectives and business priorities against a monthly and annual P&L plan.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple levels of management and functional organizations.
Desired Qualifications:
Six or more years experience in product management or marketing
Ability to anticipate risks and devise contingencies to manage them
