This role will be responsible for working with the companies in the pharmaceutical industry that are developing "connected" medical devices.
The Director of Business Development will lead a group of business development professionals who manage account relationships for AT&T within the health care segment in the emerging device markets. In this role you will strategically develop and execute a business plan to target the health/medical segments. This includes the negotiation of contracts, on-boarding of accounts, and launching of products to the market which will develop new revenue for AT&T.
Additionally, this role is responsible for the following, including but not limited to:
Strategy and plan development for revenue within the healthcare space, focusing of opportunities that require wireless connectivity
Initiate and negotiation of agreements with accounts
Review and plan strategies based on market conditions, competitive conditions, strategic and business plans, and existing business and technical requirements
Develop and maintain relationships between AT&T and partners, both internal and external
Review financial models to assess the economic value of potential transaction
Review demand forecasts and key operating projections for the valuation of target transactions
Travel required is less than 25%
Qualifications
5 + years experience managing large accounts, specifically in the medical/healthcare industry with contacts in this space
Negotiation skills
Experience working with legal department to negotiate contracts
Track record of closing complex business contracts
Experience leading sales professionals
Experience with consumer and business wireless sales channels
Knowledge of financial business modeling
Experience working with wireless sales operations
Experience with account and product launches
