    Under the direction of the COO, the Director of Business Development is principally responsible for developing and implementing new ventures for Spectrum. The Director of Business Development is a leader in the execution of the business plan and new business strategy and must be acutely aware of the market trends and any dynamics in the industry that might affect the day-to-day operations of the business. This position actively leads the business development function in an effective, assertive manner. This may include prospecting and analyzing potential merger acquisitions as well as acquisitions. Must be able to work the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.

    • BA/BS in related field required, Advanced degree preferred

    • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in similar position preferred, with at least three (3) in a For Profit environment.

    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, organize tasks and execute multiple objectives within established deadlines

    • Ability to organize and direct the work of others

    • Knowledge of metrics and other measures of operations with the ability to adapt to constantly changing business environments in the behavioral health field

    • Strong financial analysis is required as well as knowledge of the competitive forces in the field

    • Entrepreneurial and innovative approach to business development with ethics and integrity

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

    • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office products
