AFI is currently recruiting for the position of Sales Assistant in our expanding NY Branch located in East Rutherford, NJ.
In this role, you will train with the sales team to gain knowledge of company strategy, products and processes. Successful trainees may move into a sales position over time.
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Reception , Answering phones, greeting and directing clients and guests; Managing and filing customer data and reports; Receiving, preparing and processing sales orders and sales transactions; Expediting and confirming shipping orders; Processing Accounts Receivables to include invoicing and collections.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Knowledge of company products and strategy helpful; familiarity with Japanese seafood products helpful; Sales/Marketing and or prior customer service experience in related area helpful; Prefer minimum 3 years general office experience; Good organizational ability; must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Professional demeanor; optimistic attitude with strong desire and potential to escalate into sales position. Flexible and friendly; demonstrated ability to contribute as a strong team member in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills; Bilingual English/Spanish skills desired. Working knowledge of MS Office software; Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; BA/BS in associated field, desired.
