Business Development Manager, Bus Sls
Business Development Manager will meet and exceed monthly sales quota objectives by acquiring the accounts of mid-sized businesses within assigned geographic territory. Incumbent will sell products and services to gain new business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking and generating leads and referrals. Incumbent will analyze customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Recommend wireless solutions with regard to price plans, data and other enhanced services, handsets and accessories to negotiate and close business.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate leads and referrals through prospecting, cold calling and networking.
Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Recommend wireless solutions with regard to price plans, data and other enhanced services, handsets and accessories. Negotiate and close deals.
Continuously update knowledge of wireless products, services, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings. Increase presence in the community and promote T-Mobile presence in the community.
Provide training for new customers, handle equipment issues, enable a smooth transition to the Support team and reduce Churn
Fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management and prospecting tools. Manage sales funnel and generate reporting on sales activities and forecasting.
Discretion & Independent Judgment:
Ability to identify customer needs and recommend the appropriate T-Mobile products and services
Ability to determine return on investment when seeking and retaining customers
Position Requirements:
Functional & Technical Skills:
Ability to fully utilize all sales force automation, funnel management and prospecting tools to manage sales funnel and generate reporting on sales activities and forecasting.
Ability to provide training to new customers and handle equipment issues
Must have a valid Drivers license and satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance
Experience:
Requirements:
2 Yrs. Outside sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a commissioned environment
1 Yr. Cold calling Experience
1 Yr. Experience in wireless telecommunications desired
Competencies:
Ability to absorb large amounts of technical knowledge
Strong listening, communication and time management skills
Proven track record of success in a commissioned environment
Must have a valid Drivers license and satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Bachelor's Degree-General Studies Preferred
Travel Requirements:
Approximate 90% of time traveling
Ability to work in field majority of the day calling on clients. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and insurance.
