Manage the development of strategies and communication plans consistent with Stryker's brand standards that support building trust with our customers, engaging employees, and invigorating the sales force. Manage the creation and publication of newsletters, periodic employee News Updates (Sales & Employee communications), Employee Questions & Answers, intranet communications, and various communications projects.
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 2 to 5 years experience in progressive communications roles, including experience in internal (corporate) communications • Demonstrated communications skills, including writing and editing, verbal (interpersonal) and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all constituents (employees through leaders) • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-profile projects within defined deadlines and budgets • Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals both independently and as part of a team Essential Duties & Responsibilities (detailed descriptions) • Manage project manager and outside specialty consultants and partners. • Develop and coach staff by developing annual plans and meeting regularly to ensure progress. • Support the annual budget process and participate in the ongoing management of the communications budget. • Oversee implementation of internal communications plans and projects which support the communications strategy and business plan. • Deliver urgent & business critical communications to all business units (when appropriate) in a timely manner. • Prepare and review internal announcements. • Develop and support internal communication strategies, including identification and selection of optimal media, channels and audiences. • Support the establishment of communication standards for published and online material to ensure a consistent look, feel and voice. • Oversee project management and editorial assistance in drafting and publishing all newsletters and executive communications. • Provide general communications support to key customers and audiences.
Education and/or Special Training
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications OR equivalent relevant work experience (public or corporate communications).
