Corporate Communications Director
AppNexus is looking for a smart, enthusiastic communications professional to tell our story, promote our technology, educate the market and make things happen. The Corporate Communications Director is responsible for leading the company’s internal and external communication strategy. The ideal candidate will be a brilliant strategist with the organizational skills and experience to handle the day-to-day tactics.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the marketing plan and broader business strategy. This includes internal communications, crisis management and investor relations.
Manage PR, analyst relations and industry outreach to get the word out about AppNexus
Craft, manage and execute a thought leadership program that includes propriety research, byline articles, white papers and other effective tactics
Lead social media marketing efforts including the roll-out of a corporate blog plus developing a smart, effective presence on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
Develop a social media policy for AppNexus employee and oversee individual social outreach by the management team (blogging, tweets, etc.)
Stay on top of AppNexus’s presence on the social web and develop measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of social marketing programs
Liaise with the recruiting team on key initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
At least 5 years experience working in a communications or marketing role
Online advertising industry knowledge is required and a passion for transforming the online ad space is strongly preferred
An effective communicator who can work with cross-functional teams, manage complex projects and produce under tight deadlines
A creative thinker who brings fresh ideas, new perspectives and a wealth of enthusiasm
A strong writer who can convert our technical capabilities into clear, concise and compelling benefits
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment where change is the only constant
