Your Responsibilities:
NXP Semiconductor is seeking to add a Sales and Business Development Manager for its Secure Transactions products within the Identification business unit, specifically focused on the Banking and Transit markets.
This individual will be responsible for identifying and targeting high growth opportunities, aligning partnerships, defining new business models, and identifying greater levels of differentiation in this dynamic and fast growing space. Working with the regional and global business unit resources, this individual will develop the marketing strategy and business plan for the NXP’s Identification products in the Banking and Transit segments within the North Americas market. In addition s/he will manage, drive and fulfill sales targets for key accounts as well as collaborate with the global sales teams to achieve revenue and design win targets at key accounts. This person will be seen as a key business leader in the region for all matters related to Banking and Transit applications.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Manage business creation and business planning processes for the Banking and Transit segments for the Identification business unit in the North Americas market. - Identify high potential accounts and drive marketing and business development activities tailored to these accounts. - Drive design-ins and new business opportunities to achieve continuous double-digit growth and profitability. - Drive and manage Business Development and FAE resources to ensure NXP is positioned to deliver maximum value through the design in process, delivering system benefits to the end customer product solutions. - Drive activities with indirect reports on a global basis to assure objectives and schedules are met to achieve the design win and revenue goals set for the customers under her/his responsibility. - Recommend, co-develop, and deploy business unit marketing strategy and product pricing policy for the global market and within the region. - Drive market share growth within the region/segment while optimizing revenue and margins. - Coordinate cross-region marketing activities and share best practices in the business unit across the global market. - Manage a direct report team of 3-5 people in a very dynamic environment to successfully achieve a wide variety of objectives, and provide continuous coaching and people development.
Your Profile:
Having a practical understanding of the semiconductor space, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned, results-oriented technology executive capable of identifying and developing key market segments for the business. The person will have knowledge and experience in bringing semiconductor technology into the Banking industry, and have a solid understanding of target application areas such as Near Field Communication, Banking and Transit ticketing. Special attention will be paid to the following areas:
1. Experience and business acumen – The individual will be an established marketing or business development executive with a demonstrated track record of success in developing new markets and revenue streams in the banking industry. Previous experience in bringing technology to the payments market is highly desired.
2. Ability to set strategy and execute for results – As this is a highly strategic role, the successful candidate will be a thought leader who can create the vision and set the direction for a business development organization that aligns with the goals of both the business unit and the corporation and then execute to achieve results.
3. Ability to operate in ambiguous situations – The person will have a strong history of successfully developing strategy and tactical plans to manage highly dynamic market and competitive situations where strategy and resource adaptations are required on short notice.
4. Developing and leveraging relationships – The person will have a strong background in developing mutually beneficial business relationships with third parties to expand the markets in which NXP currently participates. Additionally, the person will have a positive track record of developing cross functional relationships within an organization.
5. Leadership ability – He/she will be a confident business leader capable of motivating people with both formal and informal reporting relationships. The person will be comfortable establishing challenging yet achievable goals and will let employees know what is expected through direct and honest communication. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style are critical.
