Director, Worldwide Tax
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Manages all areas of international tax planning, international tax aspects of the company’s consolidated financial statements, acquisitions, reorganizations, audit support and foreign statutory filing of tax returns. Monitors operational compliance with agreed upon procedures.
Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers.
Directs and controls the activities of Worldwide Tax through several department managers within the company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees. Manages all direct reports and is responsible for all performance of employees in their department.
Responsible for all projects that are being managed by their staff, including schedule attainment, customer satisfaction and budget attainment.
Responsible for understanding, assessing and raising all issues that impact any of the above, in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops international tax planning strategies and effectively meets international statutory filing requirements.
Effectively manages the Company’s consolidated financial statements.
Provides effective counsel regarding international tax implications during acquisition due diligence and Company reorganization.
Develops and maintains successful monitoring systems to ensure global operational and procedural compliance.
Effectively interfaces with cross-functional senior level functional management to help ensure optimal utilization of resources and capability.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education:
Bachelors Degree.
Masters Degree preferred.
12+ years experience in related field.
8-10 years prior Management experience.

Proven ability to successfully plan and implement international tax strategies for within a large, multinational manufacturing environment.
Ability to develop successful tax planning strategies to maximize tax profits from international activities.
Ability to develop solid relationships with international management team providing a thorough understanding of international operations and taxation.
Strong ability to keep abreast and compliant with international tax guidelines.
Superior ability to analyze and plan international acquisition opportunities.
Superior verbal and written communication skills that clearly convey complex information and ideas to senior level management.
