Manager, Federal Tax Audit Manager - Manager of exempt level tax professionals; Reports to the VP of Tax.

Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Federal Tax Audit function as the direct liaison with the Internal Revenue Service.
Analyze tax positions taken on already filed returns and provide support of those positions to the auditors.
Assess audit risk when dealing with the auditors and develop negotiation strategies in resolving audit risks.
Must have analytical skills, including using excel spreadsheets to illustrate and calculate the tax effect on proposed adjustments and audit questions.
Monitor and mentor activities of direct reports.
Exercise initiative in developing personal performance and production goals with consideration to assigned tax area needs.
Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct at all times.
Ability to communicate with the Internal Revenue Service, legal, and accounting of the tax aspects of return positions.
The ideal candidate will have Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or 5 (five) to 7 (seven) years of related tax work experience.The preferred candidate will have ?Big 4? experience and/or a Masters in Taxation.
