Global Freight Forwarding Account Executive
UPS Global Freight Forwarding is seeking an Account Executive to impact the organization by developing new business and maintaining existing business. The Account Executive engages in conversion, penetration, and retention of accounts within an assigned geographic area. Primary duties include identifying, positioning and expanding opportunities for domestic and international freight. Account Executive is responsible for managing internal and external business relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities and Skills:
Generate revenue growth
Cultivate multi-level customer relationships and identify key decision makers to uncover specific needs
Determine broader customer needs that encompass the customer's entire supply chain and coordinate internal specialist within appropriate business unit
Understand competitor strategies, capabilities and pricing to position UPS Global Freight Forwarding advantageously
Prepare and deliver customer proposals
Manage customer commitments to ensure compliance
Prepare and facilitate monthly / quarterly financial and service reviews
Integrate and educate customers on UPS technology solutions
Penetrate existing account base
Coordinate and participate in customer meetings with decision makers
Develop comprehensive pricing strategies for bundled contracts
Effectively negotiate complex pricing structures
Develop and maintain cross functional business relationships within the UPS business units
Participate in joint sales calls with sales counterparts from other UPS business units
Provide excellent Customer Service to ensure customer issues are resolved
Stay current on customer and industry trends
Daily interface and manage customer resource management system
Other Duties:
Attend required internal training Participate in required internal meetings/conference calls
Job Requirements:
Two years business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferred
Transportation and logistics industry experience helpful but not required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
Demonstrated success in a sales role (revenue)
A bachelor's degree is preferred; a combination of education and sales experience will be considered
