Description
Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company provides investment management services through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wirehouses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies. The company offers Fidelity Advisor Funds, Variable Insurance Product (VIP) Portfolios, systematic investment plans, institutional money market funds and a comprehensive line of retirement products and services. As a key member of the relationship management team, the role of the Key Account Manager is to execute on the FIIS strategy to expand sales for the Fidelity Advisor funds, platform products and services. The Key Account Manager will work closely with several Broker/Dealer Relationship Managers as a daily point of contact for key home office personnel. They will work with the Relationship Manager to deliver against stated sales goals, financial targets, coverage strategies and to gain full product approval at targeted clients.
Primary Responsibilities
* Day to day contact for key account home office personnel at targeted firms
* Uncover business development and promotional opportunities at key accounts
* Prepare client reviews (periodically and as requested by client)
* Partner with Relationship Manager on all aspects of key account management.
* Support Relationship Manager on development of strategic key account plans
* Obtain firm approval for new products
* Maintain key account information (FIISNet, firm plans, eroom, worldclass)
* Coordinate planning and home office approval for due diligence events
* Maintain and develop relationships with firm analysts/gatekeepers
* Gain home office approval for FIIS sponsored marketing activity
* Communicate key account updates to the Broker/Dealer field and sales desk organization
* Provide client requested reporting on sales results
* Obtain field management sphere of influence and producer lists
* Work closely with field sales, sales management and the sales desk to execute against firm opportunities and strategies
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree required.
* 5+ years of relevant industry experience
* Previous Client Service/Relationship Management experience is strongly preferred
* Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
Skills and Knowledge
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills and the talent to influence and work with people across a complex organization.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multifaceted projects.
* Strong people management and team building skills and ability to motivate others.
* Some Travel: required
