Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales by developing client relationships with new and existing clients that will lead to new business, creating strategies to expand the market, and build strong relationships with the internal team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Continually develops new business by identifying target clients, networking, meeting with target clients, and selling all Tatum’s service lines.
Develops and manages market plans and executes against sales objectives
Develops client relationships throughout the organization including financial and technology focused product lines
In collaboration with Partners / Consultants at each client engagement, develops an account strategy, communication plan, and overall client satisfaction plan
Develops a plan for using corporate and regional marketing programs to develop leads
Produces revenue by generating job orders, clarifying the scope of projects with clients, matching associates’ skill sets with client engagement needs, presenting qualified CFO / Consultants to the client and negotiating bill and pay rates
Minimizes CFO/ Consultant unassigned time by managing roll-off dates and communicating regularly with CFO / Consultant regarding additional client needs and / or other appropriate engagements in the pipelines
Ensures approved business contracts are executed by taking responsibility for the completion of all engagement paperwork, including the timely receipt of signed engagement letters.
Supports team goals of office by participating in strategy meetings, including discussing candidate and CFO / Consultant pipeline, marketing strategies, and current challenges.
Provides for timely collection of receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices.
Share successes and ideas within the local, regional and corporate leadership
Deliver against quota and customer satisfaction goals
Education and Experience:
15+ years’ experience in a sales role; prior experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred
Heavy background in penetrating target account through direct selling to CFO’s and CEO’s.
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in general business, finance, or accounting preferred.
A strong network of C level professionals in the local area
Experience with and/or heavy knowledge of corporate finance, corporate accounting or audit strongly preferred
Job Skills and Competencies:
Outstanding ability to work within a team sales environment, excellent communication and leadership skills
Senior level client relationship skills including experience in negotiations, articulating complex solutions and benefits
Ability to interface with C-level executives, management and financial decision makers
Demonstrated track record of success against quota
Self-starter and motivator to drive business within the market
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
