CAREER OPPORTUNITY


As a member of MWV’s Consumer and Office Products Group, you will be the leading force for the development, and profitable implementation of: sales, marketing & merchandising programs; the development of new products, packaging, point-of-sale materials, promotions, programs and inventory management for Superstores.


HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV


As the National Account Manager, you will act as primary liaison in day-to-day sales communication with our Superstore Office Supplies Client, assist in development and negotiation of the annual sales programs for each account, coordinate and present the annual product line (including new products) and merchandising. "Manage the Mix" in cooperation with Marketing and Forecasting / Inventory Management Departments. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Participate in development of and attains the sales forecasts

  • Implement promotional activities that increase profitable sales of our products

  • Participate in managing the merchandising activities of retail detailing service (ARS)

  • Communicate customer needs to Account Coordinators and coordinate activities/programs among Retail, Direct and Contract elements of Superstores

  • Encourage and contribute to compilation of competitive information on each competitor in the category with product, price, program and display information

  • Develop "Retail Awareness" for "what works" and "what's needed" in products, displays, merchandising, POGs, promotion, inventory management, etc., and constantly involves other disciplines in this process to grow the business and exceed customer expectations

  • Interface routinely with Marketing, Replenishment, MIS, Finance, Operations and other members of the Superstore Sales function


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED



  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business

  • A minimum of 3 years sales management and/or Marketing experience in the Office Products and/or Mass Market Industry or equivalent

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills along with strong negotiation capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills and creative talents

  • High level of energy and enthusiasm.  Low level of tolerance for “status quo.”

  • Must be willing to travel approximately 30% of the time
