Online Marketing Specialist (Sports Management/Finance)The Online Marketing Specialist (our company's International Subsidiaries) is responsible for development of online marketing plans and managing the implementation of online marketing tactics ranging from Paid Search (SEM), Natural Search (SEO), Affiliate, Display, Email, Shopping Feeds, & Social Media for our company's International Subsidiaries such as Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan and more. The ideal candidate will have had some experience in managing online marketing programs in countries outside of the United States and an understanding of regional nuances to ensure relevancy globally for our company's brand. This position will work very closely with the key business stakeholders in our International Subsidiaries as well as our online marketing agency. This position will report into the Online Marketing Director. This position will be responsible for providing budgetary recommendations per region and working as a liaison to the agencies on implementation and daily management. Staying within the annual marketing budget and revenue goal will be an important part of this role.
Responsibilities Include:
ú Serve as overall project manager & liaison for all online marketing tactics for our company's International Subsidiaries. ú Manage relationships with online marketing agency and any third party online marketing vendors as needed to enhance the projects for our company's International Subsidiaries. ú Responsible for developing the online marketing plan and budget for the our company's International Subsidiaries. on an annual basis. ú Maintenance and forecasting of monthly budgets for our company's International Subsidiaries. This includes providing accrual recommendations to the Int'l Subs. ú Responsible for working with the web analytics group to provide regular reporting to manage the online marketing tactics efficiently. ú Responsible for distributing and communicating the results to all key business stakeholders within the regions. ú Responsible for working closely with the online marketing agency to ensure all insertion orders, contracts and invoices are maintained and posted. ú Interpret regional brand strategies, understand brand guidelines and strategic initiatives, setting and communicating expectations, scheduling and organizing resources, managing deliverables and meeting deadlines. ú Responsible for SEO tactics including overall SEO strategy, keyword analysis, site audits, audit implementation, SEO meta data and link building recommendations and optimizing press releases. ú Manage SEM tactics including overall SEM strategy, keyword analysis, management of SEM agency and international budgets ú Collaborate on social media strategy and viability of social commerce in region to assure brand guidelines are maintained and commerce opportunities leveraged. ú Work with marketing agency to develop successful affiliate program (where applicable) and provide regular products to be featured in Affiliate newsletters by region. ú Ensure shopping feeds are optimized based on the latest requirements for Google, MSN, Bing and CPC feeds. ú Create and execute seasonal promotion campaigns (Holiday). Ensure gift with purchase items are sourced for seasonal programs. ú Develop and maintain an online marketing calendar by region that aligns with Global Marketing Calendar and key sporting events. ú Ability to work cross-departmentally to gather assets, business requirements, marketing goals and objectives, etc. ú Stay current with best practices, strategies, legislation and industry standards related to online marketing tactics.
Qualifications ú 2-3 years work experience in a fast paced and aggressive environment ú Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications or equivalent. ú Understanding of concepts/terms such as: HTML, CPC, Cost per Sale (CPS), display URLs, Domain, Alt-tag, Meta Tags, wire frames, tracking tags, quality scores, etc. ú Experience managing/coordinating all aspects of a project lifecycle for multiple projects simultaneously with individual production schedules. ú Proficiency in SEO meta tags best practices ú Proficient across several online marketing tactics including: email, affiliate marketing, paid search (SEM), display and shopping feeds. ú Experience in providing financial analysis and presenting information ú Must be well versed in online advertising trends, best practices and reporting. ú Ability to communicate and present effectively, both orally and in writing. ú Proficient experience with Mac OS environment and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) ú Experience using CoreMetrics, Google Adwords, DART, Commission Junction and ExactTarget tools a plus.
