Regional Sales Manager/Director - Phoenix
Responsibilities *Qualified candidates will be located in or near the Phoenix, AZ metro area and will cover the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. This position will work from a home office and will travel 30% within the region.
Responsible for establishing corporate accounts for both the Thrifty and Dollar brands on an equitable basis and maintaining relationships on behalf of DTG with pertinent corporate car rental accounts, establishing working relationships with rental locations and local sales personnel, effectively managing sales efforts and managing key car rental contracts for the Thrifty and Dollar brands.
1. Sell and service corporate accounts on an equitable basis for both the Thrifty and Dollar brands and ensure continued rental growth from existing corporate accounts. 2. Manage key corporate car rental contracts and negotiations, assist with other large requests for proposal (RFP), and manage other related projects for the Thrifty and Dollar brands. 3. Build working relationships with Thrifty and Dollar rental locations and local sales personnel to ensure awareness of the corporate accounts and programs that impact their locations and to gain their support. 4. Review headquarters reports for Thrifty and Dollar to manage sales efforts, prepare monthly reports to pertinent corporate clients, and present quarterly reports to key accounts and discuss content. 5. Attend travel related functions to make presentations, sell Thrifty and Dollar, and establish a network of industry contacts for DTG. 6. Recommend and, upon approval, administer the budget, and review expenditures to ensure compliance with budget constraints. 7. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications Knowledge and Skill
• Thorough knowledge of the car rental industry. • Ability to sell and to close sales transactions. • Excellent oral and written communications skills. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work productively under minimal supervision. • Excellent negotiating skills. • Ability to work effectively with many different types of people and personalities. • Skill and proficiency in the use of computer software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
Required Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field. • At least three to five years of related sales experience.
Direct applicable experience may be substituted for a degree at a rate of two years experience for each one year of education.
