Description
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN SALES, CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE HOSPITALITY FIELD. PREFERANCE TOWARDS APPLICANTS WITH SPRINGER MILLER EXPERIENCE AND 2 OR MORE YEARS WORKING IN A CALL CENTER IN A SUPERVISORY POSITION.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
Supervise reservation operations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort’s etiquette guidelines.
•Coordinate, supervise, monitor and evaluate assigned reservation operations, with emphasis on maximizing occupancy and ensuring smooth transition from reservation through check out.
•Supervise, directly and indirectly, approximately 10-15 employees, assist in interviewing and hiring as requested; train new employees and keep staff apprised of policy/procedure changes; plan and issue daily work assignments; monitor work in progress and check completed work; assist staff with difficult or unusual problems or tasks; evaluate job performance; discipline staff if necessary; bring special personnel problems to attention of supervisor; assist in planing staffing needs and work schedules; prepare payroll records.
•Supervise and carry out a variety of tasks related to maintenance and updating of the computerized reservations system, including rate changes.
•Discuss, investigate and resolve a variety of unusual or difficult customer requests, problems or complaints.
•Prepare various administrative/operations reports related to reservations used in daily operations and for planning ad projection purposes.
•Confer regularly with immediate supervisor and various other department/Company personnel to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities/systems/procedures, resolve problems, exchange information, arrange for special guest requests to be met, etc.
•Perform other tasks as assigned.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Supervision is received form the Central Reservations Manager or other senior staff member. Functional and partial administrative supervision, direct and indirect, of approximately 10 staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Office situation, i.e., sitting, standing or walking in a small area for extended periods of time.
•Repetitive keyboard action; manual dexterity required.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Basic education (high school), with college level study in hotel management or other appropriate discipline desirable, plus 3-4 years of relevant hotel/condominium reservations experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
•Good basic administrative, organizational and supervisory skills, some previous supervisory experience desirable. Computer data entry experience.
•Training or experience in using computerized hotel reservation systems.
•Ability to deal effectively with customers as well as other company personnel, including ability to handle a wide variety of customer complaints, problems and special requests.
