Lead the development and execution of the annual retail promotional calendar, and corresponding cross promotion on B2B platform to drive sales and grow share.
Duties and Responsibilities
ú Develop and execute annual promotional calendar that elevates brand awareness, engages the consumer and drives sell in and sell through ú Develop and deliver innovative promotional programs to retailers and make product-specific recommendations for promotions ú Develop and execute strategic and creative promotions that drive traffic and increase customer sales ú Guide the development of retailer presentations of the marketing program, with the goal of generating retailer buy-in for our company's promotional programs ú Ensure that all activities align with the global brand "look & feel" ú Establish tangible / seasonal business objectives - monitor and communicate results ú Plan and manage all budgets associated with program launched in the marketplace understanding effectiveness and ROI ú Maximize online merchandising and cross sell opportunities on B2B site, and bolster sales in support of overarching NA promotional calendar ú Partner with NA PR Manager/Coordinator to generate local PR when appropriate ú Partner with Sales Ops to ensure product availability and forecasting accuracy to support promotional calendar ú Work with Sales Ops to operationalize promotions with sales, demand planning, brand teams etc ú Work with in house Creative Team, Production and Sales Ops on design and execution of retail promotions ú Identify key marketplace trends and develop recommendations to enhance our marketing position within key doors/accounts ú Proactively analyze event results in order to refine and improve future events which continue to develop business opportunities and maximize sales
Essential Qualifications
ú Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. ú 5-7 years experience in a consumer product marketing management role or retail marketing to include product marketing and retail experience. ú Demonstrated experience with and ability to meet deadlines. ú Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear, concise, grammatically correct verbal and written information. ú Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. ú Must be enthusiastic with a high sense of urgency. ú Must have excellent interpersonal skills. ú Must have demonstrated ability to set and meet targets and goals. ú High commitment and orientation to teamwork. ú Excellent decision making skills required with regard to media placement and utilization. ú Fluency in speaking and writing proper English.
Beneficial Qualifications
ú Experience in the bicycle and/or sporting goods industry. ú Experience in multi store retail ú Experience in a multi-brand and multi-product line environment. ú Experience in a fast paced, agency setting beneficial.
