Job Responsibilities:

General Summary:
The Cloud Technology Solutions Sales Engineering Sr. Manager, a specialized resource in Cloud based data and voice communications, will help facilitate sales revenue realization through the design and implementation of solutions used to solve customer telecommunications needs as well as to act as an advocate/ point of contact for the CTS sales team in driving technical sales engineering engagements. Responsible for the consistent evaluation and development of CTS Sales Engineers in order to meet the revenue initiatives of the business unit. Act as a resource and source of escalation for both pre- and post-sales issues for CTS customers and complex sales prospects. Improve the consistency and skill level of all sales engineers by evaluating skill levels, coordinating training activity, and developing internal and external certification expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage team of CTS Sales Engineers that:
o Work with sales teams, designs viable voice and data network sales solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies and technical specifications, provide multiple solutions to customers based on pricing, technical requirements, or other variable and assist Sales with pricing.
o Interfaces with customers/vendors as needed on orders to ensure accuracy.
o Conduct site survey as required to complete sale and pass order.
o Update all sales trackers with information required.
o Provide technical input for presentations to a variety of audiences.
• Act as a resource to sales and sales support to drive sales and improve installation intervals including:
o Acting as a pre-sales resource.
o Acting as a source of escalation of pre and post sales technical issues
o Acting as an interface to Network Services for outages, master trouble tickets
o Acting as an interface to products for product development and rollout
• Perform primary functions of a sales engineer as required to support the CTS Team.
• Research, prepare and deliver operational overview and monthly service level reporting to designated customers or accounts and account teams.
• Attend operational and service meetings as required for designated customers or accounts.
• Be able to sell in a technical consultative way drawing upon significant experience in telecommunications and data communications industry.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors /Master Degree preferred.
• Certifications: CCNA or equivalent or demonstrable industry experience
• Relevant Work Experience: 5 years complex communication sales engineering experience.
• 5 + years relevant results oriented management experience with progressively increasing responsibilities within the telecommunications industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced culture and have a proven track record building a superior sales engineering focused organization

LAN/WAN Technologies: Ethernet (10,100, 1 gig, 10 gig), VLANs, Analog, Digital 56k, T1,
T3, E1, E3, FT-1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, OC-192, Frame Relay, PL

Routing Protocols: RIPv1/v2, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP

Protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, IPSec (Contivity/Cisco), L2TP, PPP/PPPoE/PPPoA, RFC 1483B and 1483R, NAT, DHCP

VPN and Security: Demonstrate strong understanding of VPN and remote access technology.

Other Job Specific Skills
• Ability to lead large teams located both locally and remotely
• Comprehensive understanding of telecommunication network architectures
• Fundamental understanding of Sales Order processing
• Excellent customer presentation skills
