Sales Engineer Telecom(Atlanta)
Growing Telecom company is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the sales activities of our direct and indirect channel sales organization. The Sales Engineer will also assist in the development and delivery of training materials, participate in industry events, and advise the company with regard to technology trends in VoIP and Hosted PBX services. The Sales Engineer is the technical interface for prospects and the technical liaison between sales and provisioning, network engineering, product marketing and SIP engineering.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage teams in the sales and delivery of hosted, services and SIP Trunking engagements.
Develop presentation, training and operational materials related to hosted and SIP Trunking products that include network architectures, processes, procedures, features, etc.
Provides guidance on technology trends to prospects, customers, partners and employees
Support enterprise sales to complete RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
Support marketing efforts through giving in-depth and technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers, VARs, OEMs and events.
Drives the communication between the field and corporate on technical issues
Work with Channel Directors and Sales personnel to set strategic account direction and sell hosted, services and SIP Trunking engagements.
Assist in the development and cultivation of relationships with customers at senior and technical levels.
Contribute to the overall practice in competence development, establishment of methodologies, best practices, and approaches in the areas of hosted, services and SIP Trunking.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Skills Required:
BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2-5 years experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer role in telecommunications
Hands-on pre-sales experience supporting Service Provider customers.
Experience with VoIP, Hosted VoIP, Unified Communications, SIP, MPLS, LAN and WAN protocols
Experience in a customer facing role with enterprise level clients
Comfortable with technical and business English usage ( documents, reading, e-mails, conference calls )
Self-motivated, team player with an excellent work ethic
Computer Skills – Microsoft Office Suite and Visio
