Manager candidates for Deloitte Consulting's Sales Force Effectiveness group will possess a deep understanding of business fundamentals, corporate strategy and organizational issues. Manager candidates are expected to provide immediate contributions to our practice and projects within a team setting. Candidates will be comfortable working in a client-oriented, professional services environment to develop practical and creative solutions to complex business and people-related issues. Candidates are also expected to contribute to the internal development of our practice through participation in areas such as business development, training, methodology and toolkit development, and recruiting. As a Manager, you will be expected to lead both the sales and delivery of Sales Force Effectiveness engagements.
Required qualifications for the job:
- Bachelors Degree (BS or BA) - 8+ years of practical experience in management consulting, corporate operations, management - A broad-based and business-oriented perspective on sales and customer-related issues, including having at least 3+ years of experience working with or in sales or other customer-related functions - Must be willing to travel at least 75% of the time - Proficiency using computer software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access - Demonstrated experience developing and delivering significant levels of new consulting business and/or securing opportunities for add-on work within established client relationships - Expertise in at least one of the following industries: Financial Services, Health Care, Life Sciences, High Tech, Media, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, or Consumer Products fields
Ideal qualifications for the job: - Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics or Psychology - MBA or equivalent - The ability to understand and communicate the linkages between the different topics within Sales Force Effectiveness - Experience interfacing with top management of global organizations - The ability to bring about impactful change in a client organization - Knowledge of with current trends in Sales Force Effectiveness - A deeply developed expertise in the design, development and implementation of at least one of the following: Sales Performance Management - including sales compensation design, administration, territory design, quota setting; Direct Sales Force Strategy; Sales Organizational Development, Sales Business Processes; Sales Technology and Infrastructure/CRM. A familiarity with all areas is expected. - Experience leading and managing large complex engagements - Project management experience including: managing day-to-day client relationships and expectations, use of project management tools, delivery against project plans, prioritization of tasks, and risk management - Experience managing a combined client / consultant team - Experience conducting performance reviews and coaching staff - The ability to build relationships within the practice, as well as with other Deloitte Consulting practices - Experience working with teams in the development of proposals and participating in client-facing sales presentations - Further developing an already established network of external contacts that can be leveraged in the sales process
