The Delta Lodge at Kananaskis is 412 room resort property catering to group, tour, and transient business. Are you this visionary whose focus is to take service delivery and guest expectations to new levels creating loyalty and brand awareness? The Delta Lodge at Kananaskis is situated in a unique valley setting within the Rocky Mountains between Calgary, Canmore and Banff. We are in commuting distance of all locations. We are looking for an individual who is energetic, enthusiastic and enjoys the challenges that a full service resort can offer. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing Responsibilities * Booking group business from the Alberta Regional Market * Active in developing new business and maintaining existing relationships * Develop action plan that addresses priorities and quotas * Upon closing, coordinate and follow up with Conference Services * Determine and recommend prospective clients and follow through on potential business * Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters and process contracts for use by the Conference Services department to ensure delivery of hotel's promised services * Coordinate and participate in sites, fams and industry / trade functions & shows * Utilize Delphi Sales System to track, solicit and follow up on accounts * Schedule effective business trips and appointments within assigned markets * Participate in prescribed Delta Hotels training and special projects * Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and change * Independently responsible for achievement of all objectives outlined in the action plans * Provide on-going sales direction on the development of segment action plans * Ensure effective yield management for group bookings produced and contracted Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in Canada will not be considered.
