Position Description

The InterStim Sales Rep II will manage territory base business and growth by initiating, supporting and developing key referral networks, implementing utilization increasing programs, and increasing new and existing base business. The InterStim Sales Rep II will coordinate all support activities and the development of sales partnerships.

Position Responsibilities

-Sell InterStim for specific therapies to physicians, payers, Urologists, Urogynecologists and other appropriate medical staff.
-Partner with strategic therapy centers to develop self-sustaining referral networks.
-Provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic surgeries, staff in-service and physician seminars
Manage territory and analyze sales trends
-Utilize appropriate Urology business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth.
-Ability to travel 50 - 75% of time.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree
-3 years medical sales experience to surgeons, administrative staff and/or payors
-2 years of referral and therapy development sales experience
-2 years experience calling on physicians in one or more of the following areas: Urology, Urogynecology, Gynecology, Internal Medicine.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

-MBA preferred
-Past experience with Minimally Invasive Therapies
-Past experience with new product launches
-Strong understanding of the Uro anatomy and BPH disease state
-Experience working with Private Pay insurers on new technologies
-Proven ability to develop new, innovative markets
-Successful ability in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis
-Proven skills in business planning and consulting and territory financial analysis
-Solid knowledge of the reimbursement climate
-Familiarity with the O.R.
-Proven advanced interpersonal and communication skills
-Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
-Aptitude for strong clinical and financial analysis.
-Proven experience in New market development strategies.
-Past successful experience in office based selling.
-Strong aptitude for entrepreneurial ventures.
-Knowledge of computer applications; Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), internet and intranet; graphics presentation applications;
-Successful time management, problem solving; records management skills
-Soft Skills: Organized, efficient, process oriented, self-motivated, team player, strong work ethic, works well under pressure in a dynamic environment, flexible, tactful, and exercises independent judgment and discretion, team oriented with a can do attitude, willingness to share best practices
-Proven success in negotiation skills
-Ability to focus on the how vs. the why
-Proven success in conceptual and consultative sales skills.

Physical Job Requirements

Lifting and carrying 20 pounds
Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day
Operating a moving vehicle.
Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation.
