This is a great opportunity for a strong sales and marketing individual who is seeking the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of senior citizens. This individual will be a part of a well-established and financially sound senior living team, who places great emphasis on serving the needs of their senior residents. Reputation is important to this organization and they place great importance on both straight forward communication and integrity. Responsibilities: The Community Relations Consultant will work with the community Executive Director to increase revenue and occupancy by implementing proactive sales skills and abilities, as well as strong marketing and community outreach skills. The selected individual will need to be a team player, a strong communicator with an attention to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. This can be a rewarding sales career as the selected individual will work to provide a positive physical and social environment for seniors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business/Communications or related field preferred. This position will entail external marketing and sales, in addition to inside marketing and networking. A desire to participate in industry related functions is a must. Possess strong organizational skills and an attitude geared towards customer service and teamwork. Sales - inside and outside experience preferred. Experience in a retirement, nursing home, or assisted living industry is desired but is not a must. Ability to work independently; be self motivated and goal-directed. Computer proficiency, sales database management experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks. Travel associated with this position will be primarily limited to day trips only.
