Scout Coordinators (SC) are dynamic, high energy, sports fanatics who are motivated by competition, helping young athletes, and ultimately a career in sales within the sports industry. Whether you are entry-level or looking for a career change, the Scout Coordinator role is the perfect fit for you.
The SC team is a dynamic training ground for top National Scouts. We thrive in a Gen Y-dominated, fast-paced, sports-minded office right in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago. Our Scout Coordinators call families who have contacted us to learn more about the recruiting process. SCs conduct an initial Academic/Athletic phone assessment with parents of Student-Athletes. After the initial assessment, SC's proceed in setting meetings with the athletes and their families to be evaluated by National Scouts.
To help in your success within this elite group, you must have a hyper-competitive drive, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a laser-focus on helping student athletes. After successful completion of our training program, SC's are given a set of goals to accomplish for promotion in the ranks of National Scouting. Top performing SC's are likely to be promoted to National Scout within six to nine months of initial hire. Potential earnings within the National Scout position average six figures in commission within 24-36 months. We provide a competitive benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
úQualify Student Athletes by speaking with interested parents (no cold calling) úMeet and/or exceed target deadlines and specific trainings to progress toward a National Scout úSet up as many evaluations for qualified recruits on a daily basis úResponsible for coordinating and managing daily schedules of evaluations úConduct initial research on each athlete to help with projecting the athlete's potential
Minimum Requirements:
úBachelors degree from an accredited 4-year college or university úStrong phone demeanor úProfessional written and communication skills úInside sales experience preferred úDesire to succeed in a competitive sales environment úWillingness to work a flexible schedule úMust be a proven sports enthusiast úAbility to utilize social media techniques
