SELECT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – HUNTER
Job Summary
Responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business for CenturyLink in Select market segment ($5K/mos. to $25K/mos). Supports customers/prospects from lead generation through contract execution and service installation. The primary focus is on new logos for multi year contracts. Will not be repsonsible for ongoing account support.
Position Responsibilities
1. Identify new business leads through prospecting using existing company lead generation tools and cold calling.
2. Make initial customer contact and track prospects
3. Qualify and develop sales opportunity including product/solution identification and base quotes.
4. Engage Sales Engineering to develop solutions for customers based on needs analysis.
5. Develop and present proposed product / solution(s) to the customer at customer site
6. Negotiate and close customer on price and contract terms
7. Prepare sales proposals / contracts for orders and ensure signed and routed.
8. Ensure services are installed properly.
9. Coodinate and conduct warm hand off to assigned center based account manager via customer conference call.
10. Achieve / exceed monthly sales goals.
11. Effectively communicate with management and provide suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 6 years Business to Business high tech / telecom sales experience calling on medium-sized accounts.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a “Hunter” in Telecommunications B2B sales.
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, telecommunications, IT, business or related fields or equivalent.
- Strong follow up, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated new business management skills with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Technical aptitude and Proficiency with MS products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
