Join our dedicated and talented team of individuals all focused on creating the best products in the marketplace. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Technical Software Architect in our Southfield, MI offices.
Description: Provide technical leadership and guidance to peer business mangers, business stakeholders and development teams through participation in the full software development cycle from ideation to implementation that directly align with the business' key priorities and support IT strategies. Responsible for determining integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet business needs and provides the necessary technical performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security requirements .
Responsibilities: - Work closely with development teams to understand the architecture of existing products and systems and ensure the alignment of new solutions with the company's strategic and tactical goals.
- Guide and consult on the creation of technical solutions, and provide approval of development efforts, through detailed reviews with internal and external development teams.
- Definition of standards, best practices, on-going capacity reviews for clients, and tool acquisition/development in support of planning activities.
- Provide deployment and post production problem analysis and support efforts during and after all project implementations for client.
Requirements: - BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field; MS and/or PhD a plus.
- 5-8 years related technical architect and application development experience, including Java/.Net and related technologies.
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows Server platforms combined with applications management and monitoring skills.
- Experience in coordinating large technical teams, including initial development of applications, driving problem management activities for new and exising applications and leading highly efficient troubleshooting teams.
- Experience with OO analysis/design concepts.
- Ability to work with teams across multiple business departments.
Desired Qualifications - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to integrate industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge.
- Detailed Working knowledge and implementation experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as
- Passion for delivering high quality products.
- Experience with UML is a plus.
- Experience with multiple software development methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure.
- Understands Network Management, Tools and Protocols (Configuration, IP Network Address Management, and Performance Management).
The preferred location for this position is Southfield, MI. Other locations that will be considered are San Francisco, CA. and Tucker, GA . May consider other qualified applicants in other locations who will remain in those locations.
