A Fortune 500 company headquartered in southeast Wisconsin is currently looking for a:
Specialized Customer Segment Manager - Oil and Gas Industry
Key Accountabilities:
* Develop and evangelize an in-depth understanding of the work applications and tool and equipment requirements of users, companies and customer in a targeted critical industry. * Develop a winning value proposition for the company to deliver to these companies and customers. * Translate specialized, in-depth targeted industry knowledge into requirements for products, brands, marketing materials, service levels, distribution and sales plans and other key deliverables. Collaborate with laterally and vertically with managers to execute plans to deliver. * Create long and short-term strategic, marketing and sales plans to meet these requirements. * Teach these specific requirements and applications to the company's salespeople in the field. * Coordinate projects in conjunction with specific, major customers in the targeted industry. * Lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-divisional teams primarily consisting of managers with partial responsibility for executing strategies for the targeted industry segment. * Lead category management efforts and projects, taking responsibility for product management responsibilities in selected categories related to the targeted industry segment. * Participate as an industry influencer and leader among industry groups, extend the company's influence within these groups. * Identify industry trends, legislation, development and other external influences that might impact the company's value proposition. Leverage these to influence the company's offering. * Provide thought-leadership for senior management at divisional and corporate levels….as well as practical advice and act.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree, advanced and/or technical degree related to the targeted industry preferred. * 5-10 years' experience working in the targeted industry… preferably not in sales or marketing. * Industrial or similar field sales experience in the targeted industry is valuable. * Strong presentation creation skills demonstrated - writing samples required. * Strong, persuasive communications, collaboration and coordination skills verified by multiple references. * Ability to work independently, while managing multiple projects. * Leadership skills to work collaboratively and effectively in complex, matrix relationship with management, sales, manufacturing, brand management, distribution, operations, product management, sourcing and other related activities. * International experience is valuable. * Appropriate software skills to support the above. * May have domestic travel of 50percent, including into industrial customer jobsites; less frequent international travel may also be required. * Must reside within 75 miles of Kenosha and commute to the company's Kenosha office daily.
