Develop and drive a consistent brand visual identity across the Sport Performance and Originals divisions with a focus on delivering innovative design solutions that are relevant to US consumers.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversee creative development process from concept design to handoff of final production-ready files / toolkits.
Lead internal and external brand design resources in support of business and campaign objectives set by the Brand Marketing and other key stakeholders with a focus on all 2D and 3D elements.
Translate business needs and brand objectives into effective design direction.
Build and maintain a network of design resources to support our company's design needs and objectives.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of Global design direction across categories.
Leverage Global creative platforms and assets when relevant, extending and supplementing them as needed to support US brand goals and product ranges.
Lead the development of 2D and 3D creative platforms for US-specific categories, concepts and product ranges.
Partner with Brand and other key stakeholders to ensure our company's visual identity is clear and cohesive across all touch points throughout a project.
Effectively communicate our company's visual design criteria and standards.
Manage Brand Design team of freelancers, production/traffic managers and art buyer.
Stay current with design and industry trends - drive innovation and creativity.
Drive environmental sustainable business practices.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Holistic thinker - can execute and drive end-to-end design solutions.
Experience developing design and creative strategy for Retail, Print, Events and/or Identity.
Proven ability to drive innovation and creativity.
Ability to effectively present design ideas and concepts.
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
Ability to multi task and independently problem solve.
Knowledge of design trends, specifically sporting good industry trends.
Ability to manage and direct multiple external agencies in our company's brand ethos and visual language.
Advanced understanding of variety of software including graphic/design applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustration and Layout tools) and general business applications (PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BA), preferably in Graphic Design
Five (5) years of relevant experience in design.
Equivalent combination of both education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
