Sr. Java Developer
A growing and established organization in the sunny Phoenix, Arizona area is looking for Sr. Java Developers. They are looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Phoenix, AZ area. Once again, the positions are in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Primary Accountabilities: * This position designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs software for those applications in which a significant level of technical expertise is required * Work with technical staff to understand and analyze complex software problems and develop specifications to resolve them * May make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements * Participate in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software * May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications * Provide direction and support and assist in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development * May act as a team leader on less complex projects
The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Minimum 6-12+ years of software development experience including 6+ years of Java / J2EE experience * Experience with multi-tiered J2EE and PL/SQL large-scale applications leveraging Design Patterns, JSPs, and Servlets concepts as well as Open Source Frameworks such as MVC, Spring, and AOP * Advanced knowledge of programming language(s); software development IDE tools (Eclipse and TOAD / SQL Developer), and source control environment(s) like SVN * Systems analysis and functional design experience is required along with thorough knowledge of database concepts and relational databases * Experience in system architecture, design principles, and system development methodologies * Strong understanding of OOA / OOP, Web-based technology, and experience with WebSphere * Candidates must be proficient with standard Java (POJO) development tools including Maven, log4J, JUnit, Javadoc, and popular IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ IDEA * Candidates must be proficient with Test Driven Development (TDD) * Must be familiar with Hibernate * Programming and design capabilities with XML and XSLT * UNIX and Shell programming experience
