Sr. Java Software Application Engineer Job Description: Our client is looking for Sr. Java Software Application Engineer will be responsible for the ongoing development and support of Server Software Applications. This person will be primarily responsible for developing applications including reports, public web sites, UDP applications to interface with parking meters and web-services to interact with third-party customer applications. Development duties will focus around new development of applications, and will include modifications and bug fixes to existing proprietary software. This primary development position will execute the development.
Required Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited 4-year college or university in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or Computer Programming
5+ years related Web / Software Development experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in server side development and management.
Very good coding skills. Sound Knowledge of design patterns, multi threading .
Candidate should have experience with applications developed utilizing tools like JBoss application, NetBeans, Tomcat, UDPListeners, Hibernate
Experience in deploying in JBoss application server, Application Pooling and Clustering
5+ years experience in OOP, Java, Web Services, and technologies like Java, XML, Schema definition, Microsoft SQL, UDP protocol, Web Services,
2+ years in C#, DotNet, & Reporting tools
Ability to work independently or in team.
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
