Job Description
The Senior Manager for Hemophilia Sales Training is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training for new hires and existing sales team members of the Hemophilia Sales Team. This training role is a critical force in ensuring sales team members are prepared to successfully execute tactics that support the commercial strategies for Baxter rFVIII therapies RECOMBINATE and ADVATE, and FEIBA which is used inhibitor management . Additionally, this role is responsible for preparing Baxter TBMs to discuss and implement Baxter programs within the Hemophilia Community.
The Sales Training Manager will also be responsible for:
•Independently conduct sales training needs assessments. Design and develop training sessions that increase sales force skills and knowledge, with a goal of positively impacting sales results.
•Determine most effective training method for training purpose and deliver training sessions (classroom, workshop, webinar, or teleconference). Partner with marketing team members to consult on just-in-time training approaches that support tactical implementation of marketing strategy.
Work closely with marketing on continuous design, delivery and implementation of training to maintain sales force effectiveness in the marketplace.
Recommend and manage external vendors to bring high quality services within the set budget.
Provide input to the Sr. Director, Sales Training on the strategic vision as well as tactical improvements for the sales training department. Share expertise and provide guidance to other sales training team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Recommend and source professional development resources for sales team members and support development that increases their contributions to the organization's success.
Apply principles of adult learning to ensure training effectiveness and access resources to keep up-to-date on industry best practices.
Apply Hemophilia field selling and business knowledge to training initiatives.
Job Requirements
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively assess training needs, design, develop, and implement training to achieve desired training result.
•Demonstrated excellence in facilitating groups and excellent presentation skills.
•Demonstrated ability to lead others, coach and develop people in complex sales organization.
•Demonstrated understanding of the selling process - ability to comprehend and execute sales processes.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete those projects on time.
•Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity through effective. partnering with Baxter team members in multiple functions and at all levels
•Can deliver results based training vs. activity based training.
•Bachelor's degree required. Training experience in healthcare industry required (must provide evidence of successful assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs and initiatives). Selling experience in healthcare industry with demonstrated success preferred. Successful healthcare industry training, marketing, or clinical experience also acceptable. 3 years of training experience and a minimum of 5 years professional experience required.
