JOB DESCRIPTION
Research and Development projects in advanced power conversion methods.
Design platform power supply circuits driving improvements in efficiency, density and cost.
Performs circuit simulations, tolerance and stress analysis.
Conduct and participate internal design reviews.
Provides support to project engineers in the applications of standard circuits and projects.
Concurrently works on multiple research projects.
Find Innovative out of box solutions and an ability to address problems creatively.
Required Skills
Extensive knowledge of power supplies topologies and analog circuits in general
Proven ability to implement good engineering processes
Ability and desire to initiate product and process improvements
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
SPICE simulation software
Power supply design environment, including hands-on power supply design from 10W to 10KW and various power converter topologies: flyback, forward, half bridge, full bridge and push-pull LLC resonant converters and SMT components.
REQUIREMENTS Experience MUST INCLUDE solid academic power electronics fundamentals, including hands-on power supply design from 10W to 10KW in various power topologies for the Computer/Telcom/Medical industries (not lighting or drive motors) and simulation experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
MS Electrical Engineering or higher preferably in power electronics
SPICE simulation software or equivalent experience.
5 yrs experience as an Engineer in the Electronics field
