Sr. Vendor Manager, Video Games and Software

The Video Games and Software team is looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to help us build an exceptional Video Games and Software store. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for several Video Games and Software partners and focus on managing the business relationship, including improving business processes to drive sales and margin improvements. He or she will be responsible for selection expansion, including identifying business opportunities, and building direct relationships with key suppliers to offer an authoritative selection. The Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as control buying, site merchandising, marketing & PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.

• Bachelor's degree
• A background in buying/planning, account management, product management, operations, marketing or finance
• Proficiency in Excel
• Minimum of 2 years negotiation experience

• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of humor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and vendor management experience a must

• Strong numerical and analytical aptitude - must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL and Microsoft Access a plus.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects
• Proactive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in retail or e-commerce desired, BA/BS required.
