Qualifications:
The Senior Vice President will demonstrate a record of progressive responsibility and accomplishment in an online business and will have superior knowledge of all facets of developing an online entertainment brand.
Characteristics include:
Minimum of seven- ten years experience in media combined online ad sales and marketing programs and/or advertising agency experience, ideally within interactive brand strategy and online product business development
Strong track record of leading ongoing technology-related business development
Analytical/strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity.
Internal team-builder; ability to lead and manage initiatives across multiple departments. Proven ability to manage through conflict, driving groups to collective business decisions
Management experience with outstanding leadership skills, ability to initiate and provide clear direction to national teams supporting online ad sales initiatives with strategic and tactical marketing programs.
Proven track record translating marketing and promotional objectives into results for advertisers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Dynamic individual who works well within corporate and creative environment
Hard working and tenacious
BS/BA required
Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial analysis skills preferred.
Duties:
Working in coordination with the heads of sales and reporting to the Executive Vice President of Digital Ad Sales at our Broadcasting company, the Senior Vice President will be responsible for (including, but not limited to):
Manage team of 3 direct reports with a total staff of approximately 25 people
Manage Entertainment, Animation, MLB and NBA Digital Sales, which includes , , , The Smoking Gun, , , , and .
Manage a large sales organization that sells across the entire digital portfolio which includes Golf, Nascar, NCAA/College, and General Sports properties in addition to Entertainment, Animation, MLB and NBA properties. Team will be based in New York and Los Angeles.
Key point person working with DR Sales team to develop process for driving growth with direct sales channel (Inside Sales) as well as managing rate cards and other key initiatives in growing DR budgets with key TSID clients
Identify and develop the ad sales strategy for new growth opportunities for all sites and multi-platform areas that include digital.
Work closely with Programming and Marketing, to maximize content development and promotional opportunities as they relate to cross-platform initiatives
Work closely with NBA and Yahoo! to maximize partnerships.
Work closely with Sports on-air sales in developing and selling integrated sales opportunities.
Work closely with AYAKM and Entertainment on-air sales in developing integrated sales opportunities and growing integrated sales revenue.
Work closely with NBA to manage and grow NBA Digital sales.
Direct the national on line ad sales teams with strategic and tactical marketing program initiatives as it relates to Entertainment, Animation, MLB and NBA businesses.
Work closely with the head of Ad Sales to develop category strategies and drive the online ad revenue.
Work with Research and Strategic planning to develop post sales trends and model analysis to forecast success and potential risks.
