Our client is an international firm part of a multi-national investment firm. Its focus is several practices including Spend Management, Logistics and Service Management. The company is headquartered in India with US operations based in Connecticut. The company has a multitude of technology, software, supply chain and spend management models. This enables their clients to deploy critical capital and human resources on their core business .
SPEND MANAGEMENT:
Spend Management is a key component of competitive advantage for companies with increased focus on cost and compliance. In past years, this has been outsourced or taken the access to a hosted Saas (Software as a Service) model, rather thsan invest in building a world class spend management capability in-house. Our client’s solution provides improved visibility and efficiency in non-core tasks without any loss in control.
Reporting:
This position will report to the Global Vice President of Business Development and a dotted line to the CEO.
Tasks to be implemented:
The successful candidate will have the mandate to open major sales opportunities within the United States. Representation will be made offering the company’s ability to assist middle market and Fortune 500 companies with the following:
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Access to world class Ariba platform used by many international companies
- No customer setup fee
- Lower Spending on indirect goods
This candidate will build branding and sales and have the opportunity to make a major impact on the company’s image within the United States.
Professional Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in Sourcing and Procurement solutions
- Experienced in sales and sales management
- Professional demeanour displaying strong business competencies
- 4 years experience with Ariba software preferred
- Experience with Free Markets in the domain of Sales/Pre-Sales, Sourcing Consulting
- Knowledge of Program Management
- Excellent written & verbal communicastion skills
- Ability to develop strong business relationships
- Energetic and a “hands-on” approach to selling
- Strong negotiator
Compensation:
- Base salary competitive with today’s market
