JOB DESCRIPTION:
Global leader in Internet-based streaming video & audio, display ads, and database marketing and loyalty groups. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Director or VP level Business Development and Sales Executive to their digital team. You will be selling an audience comprised of over 6,000 online affiliates and 15 million+ members. They are an established, highly profitable privately held company.
Your role will be to create compelling marketing-focused digital media campaigns for agencies and brands looking to reach this audience and utilize their video, display, audio and streaming technologies.
You should have a sophisticated knowledge of online advertising and a broad understanding of media as well as a proven sales track record of reaching and exceeding quota.
Responsibilities:
Identify potential accounts and originate sales leads via phone, email and face to face calls.
Educate and evangelize the internet audio space for adoption growth at digital agencies
Strategically approach prospects and determine needs, marketing objectives, business model, budget cycle and key decision-makers
Develop effective sales proposals and ad sales/sponsorship solutions by utilizing a thorough understanding of appropriate and available inventory
Maximize advertising results and ensure a high renewal rate by communicating with client services team and client to assure execution of contract deliverables and maximum program optimization
Complete regular call reports, sales pipelines and revenue forecasts
Develop advertising sales strategies and sales process improvements
Contribute ideas for product enhancement and new product development
Work with sales operations to prepare ad campaigns for launch
Qualifications:
You should be a seasoned interactive sales executive with ability to develop significant new dollars from interactive agencies and clients who are using digital media.
This requires credibility and relationships with high level executives at the top digital agencies and clients.
Experience developing compelling sales presentations, delivering effective face-to-face client presentations and entertaining clients in social environments.
Minimum of 5 years of success in advertising sales in online media
In-depth knowledge of interactive advertising and media landscape
Thorough knowledge of online advertising metrics and nomenclature
High level agency and advertiser contacts a must
Proven ability to generate new business and exceed sales quotas
