VP, Sales & Marketing

Our client, a leading nonprofit charitable foundation, is seeking a VP of Sales and Marketing to drive the organization to a new level in the education and job placement categories they serve. This is a key role reporting to the CEO and will lead several multi-million dollar business divisions, including a recently launched education and training facility.  REQUIRED: minimum of seven years direct Sales Management experience with responsibility for marketing and communications. Education, B2B services, industrial sales and/or hospitality sales strongly desired.


 


Key Responsibilities & Requirements



  • Develop strategic sales plan to drive business including expansion and renewal of government and private business contracts.

  • Oversee strategic marketing planning and implementation through the marketing team for all departments including industrial and government contracts, career and conference center, outplacement staffing, and restaurant and retail enterprises.

  • Develop communications plan and PR tactics; serve as media liaison and company spokesperson.

  • Assist the CEO and board of directors to develop annual business plans and operating budgets.

  • Recruit and oversee a strong sales team to manage existing business units and develop new business, products and services.

  • Aggressively pursue new business and expand reach to new channels that align with the business plan and organizational objectives.

  • Adhere to mission statement and goals; high integrity and strong values will be key to your success within the organization.  

  • Excellent data analytics skills and expertise managing sophisticated CRM programs including building in key metrics into all marketing initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience building strong lead generation programs and ability to quickly identify opportunities and drive prospects through the pipeline to close.

  • Excellent communication and leadership; adapt at leading cross-functional teams to build consensus to deliver results.

  • Passion for the organization’s mission to improve the quality of life of those we serve through education, training, job placement services and community involvement.

  • Develop a deep knowledge of staffing and employment including economic conditions and workforce trends in the business, industry and government sectors we serve.

  • Become a respected ambassador for the organization in the community we serve.

  • Enjoys building and mentoring teams and inspires others to reach their potential.  Builds camaraderie through humor, fun and team spirit. 

  • Seven – 10 years leading sales and marketing teams.

  • BA in business or marketing; MBA highly desired.
