    Responsible for lead functions in the cashiering health system wide. Ensures all cashiers at all locations receive and record payments. Maintains and balances daily cashier charge activity. Verifies daily, cashier cash transfers. Maintains electronic files necessary to generate daily reports. Leads and guides the work of cashiers.

    What you will do

    Coordinate monthly cashier meetings to discuss any issues, new or upcoming changes in policy/procedures, exchange ideas that would positively affect productivity, and to maintain a positive working relationship. - Train all new Cashiers at their assigned location; organize additional training to develop personal growth opportunities. - Monitor all delinquent I-payment files for all locations to maintain Cash Compliance Regulations. - Perform monthly audits at each cashier site-safe, cash drawers, petty cash, etc. - Work closely with PNC and GARDA to request manifests, research and resolve any missing deposits or discrepancies for all locations. - Works collaboratively with all Penn facilities to resolve any balancing or batch issues; serves as main point of contact for all issues, complaints, discrepancies, etc. - Manage Petty Cash Program for each cashier location, if applicable. - Supply each location with supplies such as deposit books, deposit bags, etc. - Review monthly cashier reports for each location to ensure accuracy before submitting final reports to Accounts Payable. - Effectively communicate any concerns and/or escalated issues to Management as needed. - Create and implement uniformed policies and procedures throughout all of the hospital cashiering locations; communicate and ensure job expectations are met. - anticipate and assure patient/customer needs (physical and emotional). - Greets and provide information to help orient patient/families to the facility. - Proactively identifies and makes every attempt to meet special needs and if necessary refers patient/families to appropriate areas (financial counseling, social services, etc.). - Escorts patients to departments or secures appropriate transport services. - Ensure patient/customer and family, safety security, confidentiality and respect. - High level of initiative in achieving consistency between the division's and the health system's operations. - Maintains confidentiality.

    Qualifications

    3+ years H.S. Diploma/GED Financial or Banking Experience

    • 1+ years Healthcare with direct patient care
