    Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the Region in meeting AF Solutions sales and customer service objectives.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE:POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Technical Support / ClinicalSupport

    • Represents Medtronic AFSduring ablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technicalassistance

    • Receives technical inquiriesby customers. Researches solutions to questions or problems (e.g., Catheter,Console, Generator support)

    • Educational Support

    • Educates and trainsphysicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relatingto AFS products and related procedures.

    • One-on-one training sessions

    • In-service education programs

    • Seminars and/or outside symposiums

    • Assists RM and field trainingdepartment in educating/training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers

    • Provides training andresources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for theirpersonnel

    • Sales Support

    • Updates sales representativesconcerning procedure. Immediately notifies Account Manager regarding issues orproblems requiring follow-up

    • Serves as effective MedtronicAFS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic AFSproducts, service and support

    • Promotes the safe andeffective use of Medtronic AFS products and related procedures

    • Understands national, regionaland territory sales objectives. Works in partnership with Account Manager toachieve exceed goals

    MUST HAVE - BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASICQUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

    • A High School Diploma PLUS aminimum 5 years of work experience in the healthcare within an EP, Cath lab orsales in a cardiac field OR

    • An Associate's Degree PLUS a minimum three years of work experiencein the healthcare field within an EP, Cath lab or sales in a cardiac field OR

    • A Bachelor's degree PLUS aminimum of two years of work experience in the healthcare field within an EP orCath lab or sales in a cardiac field

    NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Preference will be given to localqualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience

    • B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing,cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with minimum of fouryears work experience in cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales

    • Proven track record with technicaltraining assignments

    • Experience in the cardiaccatheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical salesproviding technical / clinical support

    • If the final candidate has aBachelor's degree and less than the required experience then the position maybe filled at the Associate Clinical Specialist level

    • If the final candidate has 4years of clinical specialist experience with a medical device pacing companyand at least 2 more years of related healthcare experience or 5 years ofclinical specialist experience with a medical device pacing company then theposition may be filled at the Senior Clinical Specialist level

    • If the final candidate has 7years of clinical specialist experience with a medical device pacing companyand at least 2 more years of related healthcare experience or 9 years ofclinical specialist experience with a medical device pacing company, then theposition may be filled at the Principal Clinical Specialist level. IBHRECertification is required for the Principal Clinical Specialist level

    PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Frequent 2-handed lifting ofup to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximatelythe same level

    • Sitting, standing and/orwalking for up to eight plus hours per day

    • Environmental exposuresinclude eye protection, infectious disease and radiation

    • Ability to wear 7-9 lbs oflead for extended periods of time while in the O.R.

    • Frequently required to usehands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls

    • Ability to effectively use amobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse

    • Frequent bending/stooping,squatting and balance

    • Specific vision abilitiesrequired by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception,and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personalcomputer

    WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Continuous verbal and writtencommunication

    • Ability to travel extensivelywith ease (approx. 10% of time)

    • Must be able to driveapproximately 80% of the time within assigned territory

    • Environmental exposure to infectiousdisease and radiation

    • Clinical Specialists arerequired to be within their assigned territory each day to be available asunscheduled needs arise. Clinical Specialists are periodically required to workweekends, evenings and nights. Clinical Specialists serve as a primary resourcefor scheduled and on-call assignments and as a back up to sales representativesduring unassigned weekends, evenings and nights

    • Must have a valid driver'slicense and active vehicle insurance ~~~ addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be consideredas part of your application
