  • Citigroup Energy Inc. seeks a Corporate Salesperson-Energy for its Houston, Texas location.

    Duties: Develop and sell financial product solutions (derivatives and options) to clients in the US Oil and Gas Exploration, Midstream, and Consumer sectors to manage market risk exposure and volatility within the commodities markets. Analyze oil and gas market fundamentals and keep abreast of marketplace dynamics. Price, execute and book oil and gas derivatives, and option transactions to Open Link (trade capture system). Prepare trade pitches for clients on how to manage risks with appropriate derivative solutions and option structures. Coordinate with banking and credit teams to quantify the appropriate credit limits to be put in place. Calculate and evaluate pre-settlement exposure profile of clients' trades using Monte-Carlo simulation-based calculation. Collaborate to prepare and present market commentary to corporate clients. Perform statistical analysis of client exposure to commodity markets based on price, basis, volatility, and correlation metrics to identify the best proxy-hedge to meet clients' risk management goals. Perform structuring, pricing, and back-testing of complex risk-management solutions. Use Power BI to analyze and visualize revenue trends and RWA trends to identify risk-reward opportunities for balance sheet usage. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

    Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance or related field and 2 years of pre- or post-baccalaureate experience as a Trader, Commodities Analyst, Analyst, Financial Operations Co-Op, or related position involving commodity data analysis. 1 year of experience must include: Commodity sales; Statistical analysis; Option pricing; Exposure analysis using Monte-Carlo simulation; and Data analysis, visualization, and modeling using Power BI.
