    SAIC's Engineering Innovation Factory Teams has an opening for a Digital Engineering (DE) Solutions Architect to enhance and drive implementation and sales of SAIC's Digital Engineering offerings. This is a Remote position.

    The role of the DE solutions architect is to help promote and sell Engineering Innovation Factory (EIF) Digital Engineering offerings by defining and tailoring our enterprise solutions and demonstrating the advanced technical functions of each offering and its uses and benefits to SAICs internal capture teams and programs. This solution architect role will require an engineering sales skillset focused on providing technical advice and support to internal capture and program teams by conducting technical analysis of customer needs and requirements to determine tailored EIF offering approach and pricing including: Preparing and conducting technical solutions briefings for customer and company representatives. Researching customer technical specifications and cost estimation, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the EIF solution. Generating and evaluating cost/pricing proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards. In particular:

    Proposal Activities

    • Respond to requests from Capture Teams to provide Engineering Innovation Factory (EIF) capabilities for inclusion on our technical proposal solutions and related capture artifacts - including custom content as needed to describe our offerings in the proposal

    • Respond to requests from Cost Estimators for tailored, offering-specific pricing and delivery data need for BOE / BOM development that is not available in the commercial marketplace

    • Respond to requests for information on offering historical performance and proof points.

    • Respond to PM / CM requests for offering-specific information and provide input for customer engagement / call plans; conducts offering-specific technical discussions, presentations and demonstrations for industry and customers as requested

    Post-Contract Award Activities

    • Coordinate integration support and program training, and then turn over effort to the program team

    General

    • Responds to requests from Business Groups and EIF leadership team to provide EIF offering-specific demonstrations and presentations to support marketing, program growth and general Business Development activities

    • Solicit Tech Roadmap inputs from Business Groups to inform yearly AOP, and investment strategy

    • Respond to requests from Marketing to provide offering-specific inputs for development of marketing collateral, advertising, etc.

    • Assist the Director of Strategic Planning in identifying new Digital Engineering opportunities as early as possible to allow for resource planning and allocation - to include regularly scheduled opportunity pipeline reviews

    The successful candidate will be responsible for inserting SAIC's Digital Engineering solutions into our company's highest priority proposal and capture opportunities, drive on-contract growth with customers looking to deploy digital engineering now, and brief SAIC leadership and government customers on SAIC's DE solutions. As part of this effort, they will help convey the EIF's long-range strategic plans and objectives to the SAIC enterprise as a whole and each individual business group within the organization. In particular, through their interactions with the business groups, they will contribute to the formulation and strategic courses of action that go into our tech roadmap and future technical investment strategy.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelors and 9+ years or more of related experience, or a Masters and 7+ years or more of related experience, or a PhD or JD and 4+ years of experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven ability to develop and mature responses to government requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs) and enhanced white papers.

    • Proven ability to develop estimates and pricing required for execution of DE solutions being proposed in our offers.

    • Experience developing and maturing technical and marketing collateral for proposal development and new business capture.

    • Proven ability to speak and convey technical solutions in front of large audiences, critical stakeholders and senior leadership.

    • Experience working with Systems Architects and Business Leads to integrate current capabilities into proposed solutions

    • Experience working with customers to elicit requirements and define deliverables

    • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification)

    • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment

    • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills

    • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes

    Desired skills and qualifications

    • Experience with all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering

    • Experience using enterprise system engineering and modeling tools (e.g. Cameo/Magic Draw, Rhapsody, DNG, ETM, etc...)

    • INCOSE Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP) OR OMG Certified System Modeling Professional (OSCMP)

    • Broad Digital Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e. tools, OSLC, internet of things, etc.)

    • Experience or familiarity with various PLM, analytical, and decisions aid tools (e.g. MatLab, Aras Innovator, STK, etc.)

    • Practical experience with IEEE 15288

    • Experience or familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe)

    Clearance

    • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
