    Position Summary:

    As a Director at Bio-Techne, you will lead commercial sales in North America. You will be responsible for building/sustaining a collaborative and high performing commercial team that drives growth for the Immunoassay Business Unit with revenue responsibility for instrumentation, consumables and services. Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, develop and motivate your sales team to achieve growth and profitability targets aligned to portfolio growth requirements.

    • Demonstrate leadership by example. Coach and Mentor your leaders to help them in the development of their teams.

    • Provide, Own and Deliver on regular Forecasts to Sr Director for instrument and consumable product lines within the Immunoassay portfolio.

    • Actively manage clearly defined strategies, tactics and lead metrics that support the goal of growth and profitability.

    • Lead your team on the creation of clear and concise business plans. Regularly review key milestones, actions and targets, and ensure that plans play a part of the daily routine of your team.

    • Drive customer focused account planning and ensure processes are in place and understood to enable effective and productive account plans that support customer needs and enable Bio-Techne to achieve its revenue objectives.

    • Conduct regular 1 on 1 reviews with your team members to understand progress, forecasting and personal development needs for them and for their direct reports. Conduct "skip level" 1 on 1's with their direct reports as needed.

    • Spend a significant amount of time in customer meetings with your team to understand opportunities, gaps and Voice of Customer (VOC). Speak fluently about the Bio-Techne organization and specifically the Immunoassay product portfolio and ASD workflows.

    • Attend and where applicable, Conduct, C Suite customer meetings as part of key account plans. Identify opportunities for greater collaboration and growth within these key strategic accounts, align and form true partnerships.

    • Run regular team meetings and lead team discussions to drive engagement and foster an environment where giving and receiving feedback is expected.

    • Champion account management pro-actively including extensive use of CRM (SalesForce) for leaders and sales professionals.

    • Foster, Demonstrate and Require teamwork within and cross-functionally across Divisions.

    • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Position requires a bachelor's degree related to life sciences and 10 or more years of progressive management experience.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM experience are required. Computer entry and/or typing skills are desirable. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • A significant amount of demonstrable and successful sales management experience within the life science sector delivering growth, growing teams and providing valuable insights and recommendations about your business to internal partners.

    • Previously demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships that lead to growth.

    • Previously demonstrated ability to hire, lead, mentor, develop and performance manage individuals in commercially focused roles.

    • A strategic mindset and the ability to translate the divisional goals into meaningful sales strategies/tactics.

    • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback designed to improve engagement, relationships and commercial success.

    • Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects.

    • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.

    • Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written.

    • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level of accuracy.

    • Ability to work independently, within a team and with other teams.

    • Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations.
