    The Field Sales Representative is responsible to make sales calls to client field locations and wellsite operations to sell segment products and/or services within a field sales territory. He/She has regular and productive contact with customers and customer representatives and is often actively involved in the result of the sales.

    This position is based in Carlsbad, NM and reports to the Location Sales Lead.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    Establish relationships with customers; visit field sites to follow up on jobs that were sold, and consult with customer and other stakeholders

    Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities; prioritize actions and plan ahead for sales prospects

    Identify potential cross product line opportunities

    Become familiar with applicable product line product, services, and clients in assigned territory

    Act as customer interface with operations

    Coordinates scheduling with the service delivery organization as required

    Provide basic product/service recommendations and present to the client

    Assist in troubleshooting product/service performance in the field and resolve complaints

    Ensures that customer problems arising from sales are responded to and appropriately managed

    Understand sales programs, new product introduction, etc within assigned sales territory

    Set up and establish new accounts; maintain existing customer contracts

    Listen for opportunities for other segments/product lines, market and competitive intelligence and communicate to management

    Maintain CRM for accounts, including customer profiling, visit reports and customer responsibilities



    Attend training courses to develop knowledge of company’s key technologies, as well as competitor practices

    Implement and comply with all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

    Comply with all government, industry and company regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, as well as reduce environmental impact


    Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

    Two-year technical degree or Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Geoscience or Engineering preferred.

    3+ years of relevant industry experience, especially on drill Bits, highly preferred

    Valid state motor vehicle operator's license

    Good interpersonal and sales skills with customers and inside personnel

    Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must

    Willingness to travel

    Has initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines

    Excellent analytical, administrative, communications and organizational skills

    Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
