    This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent is expected to work in the office once a week.

    This position is responsible for managing the Highway Sponsorship Program (defined in Chapter 3 Sec. 17 [160.801]) in addition to other property management activities for the Office of Land Management (OLM). Duties include training internal and external customers on the Highway Sponsorship Program, seeking out opportunities and working with external partners to take full advantage of the Program, in coordination with the Center for Community Connections and Sustainability and Public Health Division as well as other right of way programs such as "Adopt a Highway," Landscaping Partnerships, etc. In addition, assisting in the establishment of the Alternative Uses of Right of Way Committee to guide and support the Department's property management activities.

    NOTE: In-state travel is required up to 10% of the time to attend meetings, trainings, and as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years of professional supervisory experience OR three years of advanced professional experience demonstrating

    • Experience providing work direction to others, demonstrating the ability to successfully motivate and direct the work of other staff.

    • Planning and program development experience relating to city/urban planning, economic development, community development, or real estate development.

    • Budget analysis experience sufficient to oversee program/section budget and staffing budget.

    • Experience working with internal and external partners and leading stakeholder groups.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in the engineering, business, or legal field - relating to transportation or property management.

    • Experience with interrelationships and interdependencies among transportation, land use, community and economic development, sustainability or other areas related to planning.
